About Argentina Diamonds

A private showroom on 47th Street

Argentina Diamonds is a small showroom for lab grown diamonds and fine jewelry, upstairs in Suite 805 at 30 West 47th Street. We are not a shop window you push past on the sidewalk. We are a quiet room where you can sit down, look at real stones and take your time.

We work by appointment. That lets us prepare for each visit: the rings you saved online, the loose stones you asked about, a mirror, a loupe and enough space to compare things side by side. It also means nobody else is waiting behind you.

Why lab grown

Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same carbon structure, the same hardness and the same fire as diamonds from the ground. The difference is where they come from and what they cost. For most people that means a larger or finer stone for the same budget, and a clear, traceable origin. We think that is worth showing people properly, in person.

We are also honest about the limits. Lab grown diamonds are not an investment, and their resale value is low. We would rather you buy one because you love how it looks than for any other reason. Our guide Are lab grown diamonds real? covers this plainly.

How our stones are graded

Independent reports. Our center stones come with a grading report from IGI or GIA, written by the lab, not by us.
Laser inscriptions. Most graded stones carry a tiny inscription on the girdle matching the report number. We show it to you under magnification, and you can look the number up on the lab's website.
Full disclosure. Every diamond we sell is lab grown and is described that way on its tag, its report and its receipt. We do not mix mined and lab grown stones.
Accent stones. Small stones in settings and jewelry are matched by eye for color and brightness, as is normal in the trade. They are lab grown too.

What we promise

Prices shown up front. Starting prices are on the website, and every stone on your tray has its price beside it.
No pressure. You can look, ask questions and leave to think it over. Many people do.
Purchases in person only. Nothing is sold through this site. You buy a piece in the showroom, after you have seen it and held it.
Plain answers. If we do not know something, we will say so and find out.

The name

Our logo carries a golden sun and the soft sky blue of the Argentine flag. We liked what those two things stand for: warmth, light and a clear sky. It felt right for a showroom built around seeing diamonds in good light, without anything hidden. You will spot the sun and the blue stripe in small places around the site and in Suite 805.
